Welcome to our signature restaurant - fu.shi fusion cuisine– (meaning happiness, good fortune, prosperity)

fu.shi is the signature restaurant at The Upper Deck lifestyle piazza, the jewel in its crown welcoming guests to a cornucopia of fine cuisine. Asian fusion is the en vogue cuisine of the millennium and our Executive Chef, Vanie Padayachee has taken it a step further by weaving her own twist into both the Asian classics and the nouveau style that is sought after by food critics worldwide.

From her extensive travels to the Far East, Executive Chef Vanie Padayachee has designed a menu that has gained applause for her innovative approach to a menu never before seen in South Africa.

Leading from the terrace, guests dine surrounded by a glass façade on fine dishes such as, Laksa rubbed chicken supreme with fried green potatoes - appropriately named 'Bejewelled harvest of the land', plum glazed pickled pork fillet with mixed sprouts and crunchy greens, bacon sauce - 'Autumn woodland delights' and complete the fine dining experience with original desserts such as chilli chocolate fondant with pistachio nut brittle - 'Concubine whisper '.

The interior is calm with rich textural layering of tones from faux leather, Belgian linen and dark wenge flooring.

The focal point of the room is a glass fish tank – the developer’s brainchild echoing their unique flair for detail. Adding further sophistication to the design, a double tower of stainless steel and glass, developed especially for fu.shi, holds 240 bottles of superb wine.
